
These squishy garter stitch pieces work up quickly and look great if you decide to scrap dive and then unite the colors with the mortar color.
The hat is knitted using two colors of DK weight yarn and the mitts are knitted using 4 mini skeins of fingering weight yarn for the “bricks” and just a little over a mini for the “mortar”.

This hat is worked from the bottom up, the top is decreased and then closed with the yarn tail. There is a tutorial for that as well called “Close the Top”.
