Pasque and Cables – KNIT

A large yellow shawl resting on a log bench in the sun.

I really love the look of the pasqueflower pattern. It is an Estonian stitch that it is simple to do. You may need a little practice, but probably not. The center of this shawl is a combination of smaller and larger diamonds. Some are textured with nupps and others with the pasqueflower pattern. I then made the border using a complicated looking spiral knot like pattern; the cables. This was the hardest part of the design, but I feel the most rewarding. This design has no edging because I couldn’t decide which I liked and it was already so large. Most any edging can be added if you wish. Please feel free to contact me for help.
