Falling Leaves – CROCHET

Fall is my favorite season. This blanket was first made, but not published, when I was living in the eastern plains of Colorado, surrounded by evergreens and missing the fall colors.

Falling Leaves is a crochet blanket that can be made in any size you want. Chain more or less to make it wider and work more or less rows to change the length.
Worsted weight yarn in a main color for the body and then five different leaf colors for the leaves.
Hook sizes Blanket “I” / 5.5 mm and Leaves “J” / 6 mm
Gauge 13 sts and 10 rows to 4” / 10cm using “I” hook, in pattern (1 row dc, 1 row sc), blocked
Notions fabric glue to attach the leaves
Techniques used in this pattern are the double crochet, working in the round and some decreases. You can see the list of all my tutorials HERE and check out my YouTube channel.
The blanket body is made in one piece and in one color. I used small lengths of leaf colors to work the edging. The three different leaf shapes are worked separately and then glued on with a washable fabric glue.
