L.C. – KNIT

For years I have wanted a bed jacket style, sort of, over sized sweater type thing, something to throw on while sitting in the rocking chair. Something that won’t get in the way of stitching or be any extra work to keep in place.
This one is exactly what I’ve been wanting all these years. I chose a squishy DK yarn with a larger needle and scrumptious stitch pattern. Because I was working from stash yarn, full skeins not scraps, I decided to stripe mine. You can choose to work in one solid color or use scraps if you’d like. See blog post for more back story.

CONSTRUCTION
Cast on the back ribbing and work the back in one piece increasing for the “sleeves” as the back is worked to the neck. After the back is completed, the stitches are split, some are bound off and others put on hold so that the front can be worked individually. There is some neck shaping and the stitches that were increased on the back will be decreased on the front. End with the front ribbing and bind off.
