I want to share with you my top picks, at the moment, for US made hooks, needles, yarn and notions. We’ve got it all. These are “bigger” small business family owned and operated companies. There are plenty of others out there and I welcome you to share your favorite in the comments.
Brown Sheep Company offers yarns and fiber made from 100% US wool and processed in their mill in Lincoln, Nebraska.
I have been using their yarns for years. The colors and quality have held true the whole time as well as the customer service.

Denise knitting needles were the first set of knitting needles I invested in. They’re interchangeable and I was such a noob when I bought these that I thought they would double as double pointed needles. I’ve come a long way. Denise still offers the same quality needles and now hooks. All still made right here in the USA. They are family owned and the customer service is great too!

Brittany offers needles and hooks. I love their double pointed needles and their hooks! The hooks are beautiful and not difficult to work with like I thought they might be due to the length and fancy end.

Mountain Meadow Wool offers yarn in many colors, weights and breeds. My top two, so far I haven’t yet tried them all, are Hanna which is a light fingering/heavy lace and Alpine, one of their DK options.
The green and the blue are examples of Alpine and the pink shawl is Hanna. Photo links to pattern page.

Katrinkles makes notions and tools for stitchers. You are probably familiar with them and even have some in your bag. These simple items are so helpful. I am thankful to be able to support a small business that makes these little essentials here in the USA.
As usual no affiliate links, just companies and products I use and am happy to share!
Happy Making!
