Aloe Wish Hiss Swatches

Sorry it’s been so long in between, this is a slow process. I have completed both the crochet and knit swatches for the adult versions of the Aloe Wish Hiss sweater. I’m not sure yet if I will be using the same swatches for the children’s versions or not.

Above is the crochet swatch. See more HERE about how I blocked it because of the post stitches. This swatch was made using a vintage Boye “F” / 3.75 mm hook and sport weight yarn from Brown Sheep Company.

Above is the knit swatch. I blocked it as you would block a normal piece of knitting. I did not use pins. I smoothed it into shape and left it to dry. This swatch was made using a Denise US 8 knitting needle and DK weight yarn from Mountain Meadow Wool.

The next step for each of these sweaters is to begin the grading process. That process begins with the size that I will be making for the sample. I am going to begin with the knit version of my size as I have the yarn for it and am an accessible model.

I also have yarn and plans for a men’s knit version and another crocheted women’s version.

Into the numbers I go!

Happy Making!
